HOME SWEET ASPEN GOES WIRE-TO-WIRE TO TAKE THE LOUIS R. ROWAN; GRADE III MORVICH TOMORROW

Home Sweet Aspen goes wire-to-wire in Louis R. Rowan.

Arcadia, Calif. (October 9, 2011)—It was all Home Sweet Aspen in a wire-to-wire victory to take the Louis R. Rowan. “It was easy because she went to the lead, and that’s how she likes to run,” said jockey Joel Rosario on his third winner of the day, “a couple horses started coming a little bit, but she started kicking away.”

Assistant trainer Larry Benavidez was not surprised, “She’s trained well since Del Mar. She’s up on weight; she’s just thriving right now.”

Tomorrow California Flag will go for his third Grade III Morvich Handicap against Camp Victory. Post time is at 4:37 p.m. and will be featured on HRTV. HRTV will offer live streaming online at HRTV.com.

Santa Anita Park is offering a dollar day tomorrow, October 10, including dollar beers, sodas, and hot dogs.
