Cigar Passes at 24

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Oct, 8, 2014) -- Two-time Horse of the Year Cigar, arguably the greatest racehorse of the 1990s and a member of the National Racing Hall of Fame, died Tuesday evening at age 24, from complications following surgery for severe osteoarthritis in his neck at Rood and Riddle Equine Hospital in Lexington, Ky.
