Oak Tree Juvenile Fillies Turf on Monday

DEL MAR, Calif. (Aug. 29, 2014) – The $100,000 Oak Tree Juvenile Fillies Turf Stakes for 2-year-old fillies will be held Monday at Del Mar, with seven of the 11 entrants seeking their first career win.

Achiever’s Legacy is by City Zip, out of the Lure mare Lure the Bear, was bred in Kentucky by Richard Maynard, is owned by Campbell or Celluchi or Horowitz et al and is trained by Jerry Hollendorfer. She won her lone start June 27 at Gulfstream Park and has earnings of $21,600.

Diva Express is by Alfeet Express, out of the Mr. Greeley mare Phi Beta Diva, was bred in Kentucky by Martin Cherry, is owned by John Oxley and trained by Mark Casse. She is a maiden making her third start with earnings of $19,500 and is coming off a fourth in an Aug. 10 maiden race at Del Mar.

Heart of Paradise is by More Than Ready, out of the Speightstown mare Paradise Playgirl, was bred in Kentucky by Pollock Farms, is owned by Hoefflin or Hollendorfer or Todaro and is trained by Jerry Hollendorfer. She has one win in three starts, earnings of $77,600 and is coming off a third in the Aug. 6 Sorrento Stakes at Del Mar.

Quint is by Footstepsinthesand, out of the Oasis Dream mare Chica Whopa, was bred in Ireland by Helen Smith and Sally Mullen, is owned by Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners and is trained by Simon Callaghan. She is a maiden making her second start with earnings of $1,295 and is making her first start since a second May 19 at Southwell in Great Britain.

She’s Complete is by Oratorio, out of the Bluebird mare Arionella, was bred in Ireland by Paul Nataf, is owned by Great Friends Stable or Keh or Vaccaro et al and is trained by Doug O’Neill. She is a maiden making her fourth start with earnings of $18,955 and is coming off a second in an Aug. 13 maiden race at Del Mar.

Sea Mona is by Tiz Wonderful, out of the Johannesburg mare Justaspell, was bred by Kentucky by Brandywine Farm, is owned by Triple B Farms and trained by Adam Kintchingman. She has one win in three starts, earnings of $36,900 and is coming off a fourth in the July 5 Juan Gonzalez Memorial.

Bobbi Grace is by Big Bad Bob, out of the Brief Truce mare Saying Grace, was bred in Ireland by Peter Evans, is owned by Heider Family Stables and trained by Thomas Proctor. She has one win in two starts, earnings of $15,015 and is coming off a maiden stakes win at Navan in Ireland July 11.
