PLEASANTON, Calif. (June 15, 2014) – Multiple graded stakes winners Summer Hit and Handsome Mike head the nominations for the first $100,000 Oak Tree Handicap, to be run Saturday, June 21, at the new Oak Tree at Pleasanton racing meet at the Alameda County Fairgrounds.
In addition to Summer Hit and Handsome Mike, the list of 19 nominees includes multiple stakes winner Rousing Sermon, Peruvian Grade I winner Lideris and one mare, Playful Humor.
The $100,000 Oak Tree Handicap will be run at 1 1/8 miles for 3-year-olds and up. Supplemental nominations, at a cost of $2,000, are due Monday, June 16. The race was formerly called the Alamedan Handicap. Nominations Past Performances
