Program Aids Horse Rescue Shelters

From Purina ST. LOUIS, Mo., (Apr. 16, 2013) — Purina Animal Nutrition has pledged up to $150,000 in free feed to rescue shelters through its continuing partnership with A Home for Every Horse, a program dedicated to finding homes for horses in need of adoption or fostering. For the second year in a row, Purina has pledged a base donation of $125,000.

From April 16, 2013 to August 21, 2013, Purina will donate an additional $1 for every new “Like” or “Share” it receives through Facebook, up to $25,000, for a potential total of $150,000 in free feed.

A Home for Every Horse helps rescue shelters meet the demands of fostering and rehabilitating rescue horses by providing assistance and much-needed resources. Horse lovers are encouraged to spread the news about the program to their communities through Facebook – just “Like” or “Share” news of the charitable donation from the Purina A Home for Every Horse Facebook tab. New Facebook “Likes” as of April 16, 2013 and one “Share” per Facebook visitor are eligible for the donation. To support the program, visit www.helpfeedrescuehorses.com.

We look forward to continuing this program and helping ensure no horse goes unwanted."
