“DRF Breeding was launched on Nov. 5, 2012 with expanded news coverage across DRF’s platforms and a commitment to roll out new offerings in the months ahead,” said John Hartig, CEO, Daily Racing Form. “Our recently conducted research findings helped sharpen our content and product strategy and reinforced our mission of bridging breeding and racing. With Mark Simon leading this important initiative, I’m confident we can successfully execute on new ideas that will serve to stimulate growth in Thoroughbred racing.”
Daily Racing Form will share the results of this independent Thoroughbred Industry research at two private receptions being held at the Keeneland Library in Lexington, KY on Tuesday, March 12 and Wednesday, March 13, 2013.
“The opportunity ahead is a great one,” said Mark Simon, DRF Breeding Managing Editor. “Building a Breeding and Sales resource with the deep Daily Racing Form heritage and resources is one of the greatest challenges of my career and working with the industry to accomplish this project will be a rewarding experience.”
“DRF Breeding” is the latest of several new business ventures Daily Racing Form has introduced in recent years. Most recently, DRF introduced a number of new handicapping products to serve both existing and new customers to racing, including “DRF GamePlan,” “DRF Betting Window,” and digital Past Performances of America’s best selling print program “Daily Racing Program.” In 2012, DRF introduced DRF Harness, a new digital initiative in partnership with USTA to stimulate growth in Harness and Standardbred racing.
