SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Aug. 6, 2015) -- This is an update of all complaints, stewards’ rulings, and Board decisions involving Class 1, 2, and 3 medication violations and other significant matters.
Under the terms of a stipulated settlement agreement between Patrick Valenzuela and the California Horse Racing Board, Valenzuela is being granted a license to exercise horses. As a result, the matter will not go to hearing before the Board as described in an earlierenforcement update.
Valenzuela’s jockey license remains suspended for its term through October 31, 2015. If he chooses to apply for a jockey license after that time, his application will be subject to review according to standard CHRB procedures. The stipulated agreement will have no bearing on his fitness for licensure as a jockey.
