Tribal Gal Seeks Oak Tree Distaff Repeat

PLEASANTON, Calif. (June 24, 2015) – Tribal Gal will attempt to defend her title in Saturday’s $100,000 Oak Tree Distaff for Golden State Series eligible fillies and mares at Oak Tree at Pleasanton.

Frisco Fog is by Idiot Proof, out of the Summing mare Point Break, was bred by Ballena Vista Farm, is owned by Glen Road Racing, Seamist Racing and Carina Jauregui and is trained by O.J. Jauregui. She has five wins in 16 starts, earnings of $140,522 and is coming off a sixth in an Apr. 10 optional claimer.

Ticaboo is by Rocky Bar, out of the Chester House mare Miss Pravda, was bred by owner Triple AAA Ranch and is trained by R. Kory Owens. She is a maiden making her fifth start with earnings of $13,930.

Pop Fizz Clink is by Desert Code, out of the Spanish Steps mare Closing Steps, was bred by Peter Calnan, is owned by Charles Carlin, Chris Carpenter and Bill McLean and is trained by McLean. She has four wins in 15 starts, earnings of $61,302 and is coming off a fifth in a June 13 allowance.

Tribal Gal is by Tribal Rule, out of the Western Fame mare Famous Gal, was bred by owner John Pendergast and is trained by R. Kory Owens. She has nine wins in 26 starts, earnings of $385,801 and is coming off a third in the May 23 Spring Fever Stakes. She won this race a year ago.

Princess Bertrando is by Bertrando, out of the Giant’s Causeway mare Causeway R.
